Photos & FUN!

Our pirate-themed square dance was an absolute blast, bringing a swashbuckling twist to our weekly dance. Everyone "seas"ed the day, with the dance floor filled with a colorful array of high-seas fashion, from rugged captains in tricorn hats to spirited deckhands in stripes. We were all hooked from the very first song! The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly our "Lucky Pirates" game, where everyone hoped for a bit of fortune while testing their luck. Laughter echoed through the decks as the winners claimed their bounty and "argh-uably" some free dance treasure. It was a night of high spirits and community, proving that even the saltiest of sailors can find their rhythm when the fiddle starts playing and it's time to "party-matey!"

Place your bets and hit the dance floor—it’s off to the races!
What a high-energy night of galloping beats and photo-finish fun with Ken Burke TN calling the action! In between tips, dancers picked their horses and raced through five thrilling rounds, cheering, laughing, and stepping their way to victory.
With every heat, the stakes got higher and the crowd louder until our lucky winners crossed the finish line and earned their shot at some serious cash prizes!
From the first stride to the final furlong, it was a night packed with horsepower, hoofbeats, and nonstop excitement!

We Danced Until The Cows Came Home

April 15 brought out the overalls, the plaid, and a whole lot of questionable “farm skills” as the “Down on the Farm” square dance got underway. Art Lavigne took the mic and had everyone moving faster than chickens at feeding time, calling with just the right mix of charm and “you better keep up!” energy. Whether you knew your allemande from your elbow or were just following the nearest pair of boots, Art kept the whole barnyard in motion.
Over in the rounds, Lou Torti was as smooth as a freshly paved country road, cueing dances with such ease you’d think he was born in a hayloft. Dancers spun and glided like they’d been practicing between milking cows and fixing fences, with only the occasional traffic jam in the middle to keep things interesting.
The farm theme was in full bloom with more flannel shirts than at a scarecrow convention, and enough laughter to spook any imaginary livestock. By the end of the night, everyone was happily worn out, like they’d put in a full day’s work, except the only thing harvested was a whole lot of fun.

ELVIS WAS IN THE HOUSE

All the way from Tennessee, Ken Burke rolled in on March 25 and shook things up by channeling his inner Elvis. The moment he started calling the dance, it wasn’t just business as usual. It felt like the King himself had entered the building. His voice had that unmistakable flair, smooth and electrifying, turning every step into a little bit of rock ’n’ roll magic.
Before long, the whole room was all shook up, feet moving, hearts thumping, and smiles spreading like a hit record climbing the charts. You could almost picture blue suede shoes tapping across the floor and hear echoes of a jukebox playing somewhere in the distance. It wasn’t just a dance—it was a performance worthy of the spotlight in Vegas.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any more legendary, it seemed like even Elvis’s spirit couldn’t resist stopping by. Call it a mystery, call it a little hunk of burning love—but one thing’s for sure: when Ken Burke calls, the King lives on, and the building is never quite the same.
